A Nice, Normal, God-Fearing Atheist

I was reading an article online the other day and the author described himself as a "Nice, Normal, God-Fearing Atheist". What exactly is a God-Fearing Atheist??? Perhaps this man is a bit confused or maybe its just me. What are your thoughts; are you as confused as me???

Richard Dawkins would not be proud.

There is a strong movement out there of people who do not want to believe in the gods of this world. Nor do they want to believe in the God that I serve Jesus Christ. So they are happy to believe that there is a greater power than they themselves are... Sad, but then again these persons haven't experienced what I have found to be the ULTIMATE experience...

It seems everyone these days is going down the path that says "there is a God, but I don’t think he's real or for me" Then my question would be; what is God? Who is God? How do you even describe a God or "higher power" Everyone searched for a non-commitment "religion" that does nothing but pollute the mind and stray away from ultimate concern which would be as Curtis stated gaining the Ultimate experience and filling that emptiness that every one of us has… It's the inadequacy of what the world offers that makes man look to a higher power... That’s my opinion.

Thank you James, Curtis, and Chris, I was so confused and I thought maybe it was just me, because I had never heard of a God-Fearing Atheist. If he were agnostic it would make more sense. I am glad that I have as Curtis said, "the ULTIMATE experience" I wouldn't trade it for the world.
